The Bunga Bunga Generation

Tanzhaus Zürich 2012

The “Bunga Bunga Generation” is a generation that has perfectly assimilated power’s mechanisms of seduction, which are able to generate feelings and emotions in people, therefore to make them dream. The alternative to reality that this generation offers is a setting (misé en scene) where everything becomes a theatrical representation, where sense is replaced by agreement, intimacy by exposition, erotism by carnality and happiness by pleasure. The Bunga Bunga is way of being in the world, of thinking and wanting the world to be, a way of making politics, of conquering the world and to transform it into an empire: The Applause Empire.

Februar 2012
